tribute tuesday: christian vande velde

If you know me, then you know that Christian Vande Velde is my favorite cyclist racing the Classics today. The dude has the best attitude on the Tour. He can be the team's yellow hopeful one day, and slip into domestique for his team the next. His career hasn't been marked by many victories, this is in part due to his role as a domestique on Postal Service (2 yellow years for Lance), CSC and Liberty Seguros, but he's taken 4th & 8th in the last two tours & won the Tour of Missouri/ 3rd in Tour of CA. Overall, I always look forward to watching him ride, and he just seems like the nicest dude ever. Watch out for him in the Giro & Tour this year:
